Dharmakirti – Community for Tibetan – Buddhist Culture e.V. is, since its founding in 1985, actively engaged in the organization and realization of various religious and cultural events. The community mainly focuses on inter-religious dialogue and cultural exchanges between the East, especially the Himalayan region of Ladakh, India, and the West.

Sharchukhul monastery, with about 180 monks and 15 branch monasteries is an important spiritual center for the people of Changthang and an educational institution for young monks. Furthermore, since the summer of 2014, all the monks of the monastery are wholeheartedly involved in the environmental project “Go green & go organic”.

Our group consists of eight experienced monks from Sharchukhul monastery, accompanied by the German nun Konchok Tsechö (Sabine Tsering) of Dharmakirti e.V.
